We're building the most accurate and transparent SEC data layer for AI agents — and the builders and analysts who run them.
Make financial data accessible, accurate, and trustworthy.
Too many builders struggle with unreliable financial data from free sources, or enterprise products gated behind sales calls and priced for institutions. We believe accurate, source-verifiable financial data should be accessible to everyone — including the AI agents now doing the reading.
We started by building financial-analysis agents ourselves — and kept hitting the same wall. Free APIs had errors, missing metrics, and outdated information. The reliable options were enterprise products: sales-gated, priced for institutions, and built for human terminals rather than programmatic access.
We asked ourselves: Why is accurate financial data so hard to get?
The answer: most platforms aggregate data from multiple middlemen, introducing errors at every step. We decided to build something different—a data layer that sources directly from SEC EDGAR filings, the official source of truth for US public company disclosures, and keeps a link from every number back to the passage it came from, so a human or an agent can verify any claim.
We parse data directly from 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings using XBRL—no middlemen, no aggregators, no errors from third-party sources.
Every number on Metric Duck links to the SEC filing where it came from. You can verify our data yourself—we hide nothing.
We calculate 323+ financial metrics (ROIC, WACC, FCF, ratios) so you don't have to spend hours in Excel. Our methodology is transparent and documented.
Every page shows "Last Updated" timestamps. We document our limitations. If we don't have data, we say so—no guessing, no filling gaps.
5,500+ US public companies including all S&P 500, Russell 1000, and most Russell 2000 companies.
Comprehensive financial data from 10-K and 10-Q filings: income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and footnotes.
323+ pre-calculated metrics including ROIC, WACC, free cash flow, profitability ratios, valuation multiples, and more.
